The Ferret® 40mm Round is non-burning and safe for indoor usage. It is primarily used by tactical teams for penetrating obstacles like as windows, hollow core doors, wallboard, and thin plywood. When the nose cone hits the barrier, it ruptures and immediately delivers a small chemical payload inside a structure or vehicle.

In a tactical deployment scenario, the 40mm Ferret is generally employed to free barricaded people from limited spaces. Its goal is to reduce risks to all parties by requiring pain compliance, causing temporary suffering, and/or incapacitating potentially violent or dangerous persons.
